ASEAN50 exhibition

Found an old video on my display of concertina sketchbooks at the Art Gallery of Glocal Connect Village, Temasek Poly in 2017. Thinking back it was really a lot of work behind the scene to put together an exhibition involving Urban Sketchers from ASEAN countries.

32 years from 1 June 1990 to 28 April 2022. After offsetting my annual leave, I am on leave from 7 March 2022. Retire lor!

Packing - found these old photos when we celebrated our first anniversary at the new campus with a children art competition. Principal & Chief Executive Officer on stage with the winners and a photo with Mdm Chan Phek Gek, my late colleague working with me on this event. She is missed and loved by many. These children should be around 40 years old!

Box Prints

Packing - found these old prints in IKEA small box frames size 14x14x4.5cm. They don’t sell these frames anymore but I love them so much that I kept three. The box prints were all sold out when we had our pop up store at the now defunct Varidian House at the old River Valley Swimming Pool.

Global Studies Virtual Trips

This week is crazy week as we bring 2,500 students to 3 overseas trips. Monday we went to Indonesia, Tuesday to Thailand and Wednesday to China. This can only be done viritually of course and with all the sweats and tears by the organising and teaching teams of Global Studies, a subject to develop Global Mindset in our students.

Global Studies Virtual Trips this week

We have Global Studies Virtual Trips this week for over 1,800 students in total or over 75 groups. Monday we went to Indonesia and Tuesday to China with 600 students each day. Tomorrow, I will be bringing a group of 25 students to Thailand!

Back to Office

So after work from home for so long, I went back to the office today to finish the work on big banner and decals for the campus. Drama happened in the background - first, the 'green' boom lift operator stranded for an hour waiting for his senior to rescue him, then the boom lift got stuck at the 'tunnel road' connecting east and west campus like the Suez canal, plus it was raining today. So glad it's finally done!

Fun with Colours

The classes were over last week for this semester and this week is Study Week for students. Since there were no more classes to teach, the lecturers attended a workshop "Fun with Colours" with me yesterday for a therapeutic session. There was no rubrics and assessment so they could enjoy and learn about colour theory and colour schemes at the same time. What a fun afternoon exploring colours with my fellow lecturers and also non-academic colleagues!
