These wood soda fired plates are like pottery 101 for all potters using wood kilns. These are very shallow plates made with Taiwan clay fired in our local Thow Kwang Dragon Kiln from 4 - 6 Oct 2024. 48 hours of firing. You can view my pottery sites at this link.

Marine Series

These three creatures with a heart, I called them the Marine Series. They were placed on the bottom shelf and the wood ashes were trapped for a very long period of time resulting in carbon trapped on some areas and turning to yellow and golden orche in other areas. Only happenings with wood firing.
