My latest sketch at Pearls Hill

195 Pearls Hill Terrace has become a creative paradise but it is going to be gone in a year or two. Our month-end sketchwalk has a huge turn out this morning and it is definitely a much more vibrant place now compared to 2019 when I sketched it before the pandemic.

You can see Pinnacle in the middle and Pearl Bank on the top right still under construction. Is this place going to house another expensive residences?

February Sketchwalk at Pearl's Hill

Hi Sketchers, we are heading to Pearl’s Hill Terrace on 24 Feb (Sat)! The place will be undergoing redevelopment starting in March 2025.

9.30am: Short briefing at the Pearl's Hill Terrace surface parking*

12pm: Start packing your things and make your way for Show & Tell

12.20pm: Show and Tell at the Pearl's Hill Terrace surface parking*

*Please note that location of Short briefing and Show and Tell are subjected to change, depending on the weather for the day.

Instructions for the day:

1. Make your way to the location, be aware of surroundings, and maintain necessary distancing.
2. Challenge yourself to explore hidden corners that hasn't been seen/drawn yet; this will also help prevent too many of us crowding the same perching points.
3. Post your sketches, snapshots and videos online — 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐬 #𝐮𝐬𝐤𝐬𝐠 — so everyone can easily find the day's artistic output.
4. Some sketch leaders will go around to catch you in action for posts on Facebook and Instagram, so look out for them!

Pearl's Hill Terrace

I was busy but still managed to spend a morning visiting the Former Combined Operations Room Exhibition at 195, Pearl's Hill Terrace. I did a sketch at the courtyard while others explored the interior spaces. The exhibition can only take 15 people at a time and we had a good understanding of how people there worked and protected us. More information of the FCOR exhibition at this link.
