right: March Sketchwalk at Kampong Glam
Today last Saturday of the month is our official sketchwalk at Sentosa. I have yet to find time to complete uploading my sketches for KL trip but this one done back home at Sentosa is more important. So happy to meet my fellow sketchers at Sensoryscape at Sentosa!
This is at Beach Station, also the entrance to Sensoryscape, a relatively new attraction replacing the old Merlion Walk where a sensory journey from Sentosa's lush ridges to its vibrant reefs unfolds. It is even more magical at night with scent, sound, touch, and light display. Unfortunately we could not explore when the rain started to pour.

At around 5:15pm, the place was empty so I continued a sketch in the Etchr Accordion Sketchbook.
The interior deco of this corner was based on that of a Chinese wedding room concept with red banners in the ceiling and red flower-balls here and there. There was a huge red lantern on the right and a huge vintage luggage was found at the opposite pastel turquoise wall at the entrance to this room.
Sketching enables one to discover the details in the surroundings.

This is the second sketch in the Etchr Accordion Sketchbook. However, it is the third location, first location at Chinatown I did a loose piece, second location was inside the Central Market. This is a very cozy cafe, Light Capture, opposite the very first May Bank Building frequented by tourists from China. Not as viral as the one in Kota Kinabalu though.

Today at Telok Blangah Hill Park was such a place we sketched together under the hot scotching sun with a sudden passing shower almost at the end of the session. We took refuge in a shelter on the hill top chatting and sketching together, so fun!
I brought my very old A3 Daler Rowney watercolour paper. As I came very late, I used big flat waterbrushes splashing away happily with Holbein Opera pink for the blooming bougainvillea shrubs. Adding pen and ink dots and lines to the trees was therapeutic too.
